Marcus J. Kocmur joined the firm in 2000. He concentrates on business and real estate law and litigation, including acquisitions, management and dispositions.
Education
Mr. Kocmur received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara (B.A., 1993). He received his law degree from the University of Montana School of Law (J.D., 1998), where he was an editor of the Public Land and Resources Law Review. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Leo S. Papas, United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of California. Following law school, Mr. Kocmur served as a law clerk to the Honorable Terry N. Trieweiler, Justice of the Montana Supreme Court.
Professional Memberships and Activities
Mr. Kocmur is admitted to practice before all courts of the state of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He is also a member of the Santa Barbara County Bar Association, Santa Barbara County Barristers Association, the William L. Gordon Chapter of the American Inns of Court, and the Defense Research Institute. He is an inactive member of the bar of Montana.
